    南極条約って核の使用禁止であって開発所持に関してはノータッチだから連邦のサイサリス開発自体は条約違反ではないんだよね
    そのサイサリスの核バズーカ使った上にコロニー落としまでしたデラフリの悪質なプロパガンダでどっちもどっちみたいになってるけど

    アニメ談義する場がインターネット主流になった影響が大きいのでは
    ネット上だと、基本的に滑稽や皮肉を好む空気が支配的だし、

    サイサリスの核が悪の連邦の象徴みたいに思えたけど
    全部みて911やISISのことまでみてきた後だと
    コロニー落としに対抗する一点集中できる最大火力として

    昔も今もガトーは強い渋いかっこいいから好きという人はいたけど核ぶっぱコロニー落とし最高ウェーイwという人はいなかったような
    連邦クソもイグルーやUCで過度に連邦をクソ扱いしたからそれはやりすぎじゃない？にはなってはきてる善に描かれる作品が少なすぎる

    アホの子供だった俺は
    完璧じゃないけど正義の連邦、悪のザビ家を信奉する狂った残党軍
    としか認識していなかったし、
    実際デラーズ軍がやってる事も全部悪事にしか見えなかったので
    ガトー人気は凄い不思議だった。
    シャアの様に自分だけにある正義みたいなのも見られなかったし、ただの傀儡。

    ガトーって男の幻想的なキャラだからね
    若い頃はその言動にあこがれて好きになっても歳取るとそんなふうに往けねーよと考えは変わる。
    劇中の敵役って事を無視して９１１出して叩く人は

    そもそもスペースノイドの解放だのなんだのってのは戦争の名目に過ぎなくて
    実際は単にギレンが連邦に代わって地球圏を支配したいだけの戦争だからな

    マンガ版だっけ? シーマが暑苦しいとか言ってたけどガトー相手だと疲れそう。
    滅びの美学のような自己陶酔じゃね?みたいなところは当時からあったけど、
    メカが0080でおとなしかった分、バブルの勢いと合わさってイケイケであんまり細かいことは気にしないって感じもあった。
    連邦の腐敗っていってもどうしようもなく、デラーズが決起しないと目の前の危機が回避されない、という状況でもなかったので空回りもいいところだった。
    巻き込まれた連中はいい迷惑だ。
    ガトーのブレなさが人気だったのかな。

    さすがに敵からMS盗むぐらいは普通だよ。戦中に鹵獲ザク使ってた連邦部隊もあったわけだし
    ただ自分達はGP02を盗みに来たのに連邦ザクに文句言ってたのは図々し過ぎるが

    あと911で変わったのは事実だよ
    911以前はジオン軍を大日本帝国軍に重ねるファンが居たが（連邦軍は末端まで腐っているがジオン軍人には侍精神がとかなんとか）
    911以降はジオン残党がイスラム国扱いされるようになっちゃったからね
