MSVは元々そういう狙いもあった、と小田さん白状してたし。ただマインレイヤーは頭部がザクタンクに比べて劣りすぎ。

小学生の頃、コミックボンボンの懸賞だったか箱絵に大河原邦男氏のサインが入った限定版1/144シャア専用ザクが当選した事があったが、ググってみるとあれがマインレイヤーの色変え版だったそうで
合わせ目消しから塗装（筆塗り）にデカール張りまで自力を出し切って完成させたのは良い思い出だ

マインレイヤーのキットを最初に賞賛したのが、狂四郎の天満兄弟(笑)！
実際の模型界だと、93年ホビージャパンの松村氏による、当時のマテリアルを駆使して完成させたマインレイヤー改造のザク2が、相当なインパクトを与え、MG開発のきっかけに。

93年6月号のホビージャパンでこのザクを当時の技術でアップデートした作例があって
その作例がきっかけのひとつになって後のマスターグレードの企画につながっていった
良い物は古くなっても良い物だって事だな

正直、０６Rならこれくらいボリュームアップしてた方が好みなんだけど、ノーマルなザクはもう少しスリムな方が・・・
最近のガワラさんの描くザクはほぼこの体型だけど。

1stのFGシリーズをもっと拡張してくれ。
結局、ガンダム／シャアザク／量産型ザクの３つしか出なかったはず。
