ホバーは平坦な場所以外使えないし燃費悪いんだよね（種世界は現代と比べ物にならないほどエネルギー変換効率良さそうだが）
それに4足なら積載量も射撃の安定性も高い

そもそもドムのホバーは核融合炉の副産物だから
バッテリー機だと自前の電力や推進材を使って浮かないといけないから
仮想敵にmsもいないしバクゥの開発時期では無駄だったんじゃないかな

自力で起きるのが無理そうな奴多々いるので…

四足と実際のキャタピラぐらいでかいキャタピラのハイブリッドってのは結構合理的っぽく見えるよな

砂漠の3%が砂砂漠で後は岩砂漠
岩砂漠は凄い高低差あるのとでっかい岩が無数に転がってるのでホバーの空気が漏れる
砂砂漠はホバー使ったら砂煙目立つし目詰まりする

推進器吹かし続けるタイプのホバー機動するなら普通に足増やして接地圧下げた方が自然だし低燃費だろ
そうでないなら先に挙げられた通り

求められているのは単純な移動ではなく戦闘機動。
地面を蹴ってジグザグに移動するなど、俊敏な切り返しが求められている。

ACのホバーとか動きが平面的だったな。
ジャンプ苦手で急に止まれないとかだといい的になる。
武装も無反動砲でないとバランス崩すだろうし、ミサイルなど誘導兵器はそもそも当てにならない設定だし。
