    地球だと戦車は歩兵の盾になるって役割があるけど
    宇宙だとMSが歩兵の代わりだからな…

    MSを歩兵と考えて
    歩兵に対する戦車と同じ位のサイズ感でタンク型を作ればいい
    当たるどころか近くに着弾しただけでMSがバラバラになるくらいの砲を積んで何なら少数のMSも積めるようにして実在の戦車のように運用すれば・・・

        二足歩行より履帯の方が効率的なんだから速度も上やぞ

        小回りがきいて速度が出てと格闘戦に強いMSにはないニッチを獲得するしかないから二足歩行じゃ反動を支えられないような大口径砲積んで上半身はコクピット兼大型集合センサー兼弾道計算装置として割り切って核融合炉のパワーと幅広の履帯複数で走破性を極力高めて…とハイパワーな自走砲として運用するしかねえんじゃねえかな

        安いからに決まってれうだろ、その代わり舞台が宇宙だと地上用の武器は使えない、F型ザクが宇宙も地上も使えるのと違う所

        理由つけるなら全高の低さかな。
        宇宙世紀二足歩行MSの小型化は現在でもMSモドキタンクのロトが出てくるまでジェネレータの大きさから不可能でしたとなってるから、縦置きジェネレータを積んだ胴体を小回りの利く二足歩行させるにはそれなりに長い脚が要るから背が高くなる。

        理由こじつけて背の高さが不利って戦場を用意すればヒルドルブを前後に縮めたような潰れたタンクMS(ガンタンクは重心高過ぎ)を配置する理由になる。

        重量や反動、装甲をリアルに計算出来れば地球上では一択
        宇宙でも加速減速に使う推進剤をリアルに計算出来れば
        結局ロボットアニメはロボがかっこよいかどうかなので気にするな

        普通のＳＦだと、歩行と足で向いてる地形の差があるから使い分けができるんだが
        ガンダム世界じゃ、
        ＭＳが軽すぎる、推進器の出力が高すぎる、推進剤持ちすぎる
        ので、キャタピラにする意味がない

        言うても足よりキャタピラの方が走破性は良いと思われる。
        だから母艦に頼らずタンク小隊で荒野を走破し目的地に向かう、
        その途中野営したり戦闘したり…そういう部隊の話なら
        タンク主体で転がせると思う。

        これ、考え初めたらそもそものMS…というか人型兵器の存在意義に疑問が出るやつだ。
        結局のところ、AMBACだの走破性だのを持ち出したところで、その技術で通常兵器を発展させた方が兵器として優れたものが作れるのは明白だし。

        本格的に考えるとキャタピラは廃止確定。可変機にしてタイヤ走行にするくらいがせいぜい。もしくは分離組み換え式…

        一応ガンタンクⅡは量産されて地上の防衛用に大量配備されて長い期間現役だった
        宇宙にこだわらなければ全然行けると思う

        真面目に考え始めると可動範囲限られるAMBACよりジャイロ内蔵の方が性能も安全性も上とか
        そういう方向になって誰も得しないので魔法の粉に頑張ってもらおう
        地上数メートルまでしか散布できない新種の粉とか
