大和を建造中、主砲の射撃試験に立ち会った砲術士官たちが「これいらんやろ」ってことを口揃えて言ったら怒られたわけで。
一度走り出したプロジェクトを止めるのは誰かが責任とらなきゃいけないので、走り出した以上は要不要とかそういうのはすべて見て見ぬふりで突っ走るんや。ドイツもそうだったし。

ドタイとの連携が前提になっている局地戦用のよく動くデブだぞ？
運動性は馬力で誤魔化せるけど推進剤はザク未満だし、新造パーツが60%を越えてるからザクとのパーツ共有も殆ど出来ない金食い虫
その上武装も扱い難いとパイロットから苦情が来たからカスタム化で補った。まさに産廃

これ、なんでザクレロ大小2個セットなんだろう？と言うのが当時からの謎。
　同じ例だとボールがあるけど、あれは量産機だしね。置き方によっては大小2体のボールを遠近法的に飾れるからまあ解らなくはないんだけど。

初代って「時間よ、とまれ」でウソみたいなデカさのガンダムが出てきたりするから、ザクレロも劇中でデカさにブレがあったのかも・・・。
　
実際は MA のキットって基本 1/550 で出してたみたいなんだけど、ザクレロは小さいから 1/250 で出して、他の MA とスケールを合わせるために 1/550 もオマケで付けておいた、って感じじゃないかな。

良くも悪くも黎明期だからな
戦車でも大砲一杯積めば強くね？→作ってみたらそんなに一杯の大砲操作する余裕ないよ！とか
クソデカい戦車にクソデカい大砲積み込んだの作ればよくね？→そもそもそれを動かせるエンジンやトルクに耐えられるギアボックス無いよ・・・とか
実際に作ってみなきゃ弱点が見えなかった代物はゴマンとあるからな

ちなみに戦闘機とかもっと迷走してるぞ、レシプロ機のプロペラの前に銃座と射手の座席作れば打ちたい放題じゃね？→後ろからプロペラが風吸い込んで来るんで射手が常時吸い込まれるリスクあり＆撃墜されたらどうやって逃げるか→考えて無かったわﾃﾍﾍﾟﾛとかあるからな・・・ｗ

その前提じゃ生産品を別物に変えるとかほとんど既存のラインを廃棄して別の設備に作り替える位の大改造になるのよね～

結果として色んな想像の余地もできてるしいまだに人気あるんよな
