ラルさんが老け過ぎなのは否定しないけどそれは今の目で見て
余計顕著に感じるだけという事。
当時放送中の太陽にほえろとか放送開始時（74年なのでガンダムより早いが）
ボス38歳、山さん41歳とかで勿論それに対して「うわー老けてるわｗ」
なんて反応もない。
当時の35歳なら今の50歳位の感覚ですよ。
その頃は55歳にもなれば「もう歳だし仕事辞めるか」って人も多い位。

ストレスフルで栄養状態や生活・医療のレベルが低下するのもあるだろうけど
働き盛りがどんどんしぬから子供のうちから働かなきゃだし

今は還暦なんてまだ老いの入り口で実際に見た目も若い人が多いけど
ファースト当時の還暦ったらもう腰の曲がったお年寄りが当たり前で
いつ亡くなってもおかしくないって雰囲気があった
そんな世相でプラス10歳のイメージで制作してたんだからまあ妥当っちゃ妥当
放映から40年ほどでここまで寿命が伸びたことのほうが想像を超えてる

昭和のアニメは７０年代に入っても５５歳定年が多かったので波平さん（５４）の様に仕事をしてるお爺さんを出す場合年齢も５５歳付近の設定が多い
　
栄養価の高い安定した食事や医療の発達もあるが
特に今は独身が多く子供も無く一家を支えるようなストレスも無いから老化が緩やかなのかもしれん
