バンダイもヤマトのプラモで大儲けしてて
そのままアニメブームの流れでガンダムだからね
割と流れが繋がってる
安彦氏がガンダム1話の放送を見たのはヤマト2の会議で西崎の会社に居た時だったそうだから

当初想定より合体玩具が売れなかっただけで作品自体は視聴率よくてテレビ局側がやりたかったくらいだし人気はあったんじゃ・・・
人気あったから再放送したし、再放送にあわせてプラモ発売したわけで・・・
