実弾バラまかないのはデブリが増えて危ないから、無重力だと反動（作用反作用）の制御に推進剤がいるから、とかが考えられるかな。

小説で書いてなかったっけ
実弾はデブリになるのと牽制程度で撃った機関砲でも何かにぶつかるまで減速せずに飛び続けて戦後の事故原因になる、ビームは宇宙線や宇宙ゴミで少しずつ減衰して外れてもそのうち消える
みたいな感じ。ベルチルだったかな

何のためにって当たれば一撃で落とせる武器が戦艦のメガ粒子砲だからだろう
そもそもMSが出る前は戦艦で撃ち合うのがメインの戦い
それをザクが数発当てれば戦艦を落とせるバズーカや対艦ライフル持ち出す→ガンダムが戦艦の主砲並のビームライフル使うと進んでいっただけ
一年戦争以降も流れ弾のような不意の戦艦のメガ粒子砲に運悪く当たれば即死って位置づけはそのままだろ

チベ級はMS運用前に開発された船なので純粋な戦艦だった
一時期は旗艦としても使われてた
でもMS有効ってことでMS対応された

艦隊戦でミサイルに対しては回避行動取ってたから
回避行動が取れるか取れないかで大きな違いはあるんじゃね
あと機銃とかで迎撃できるかどうかも

戦艦用のは大出力に裏打ちされた射程距離のアドバンテージがあるんだろうし、MS戦やってる所に不意に飛んできたそんなのに当たったら、て恐怖を与えるだけでも十分じゃね？

思考停止して何でも「娯楽だからwww」で済ます方がよっぽどつまらないと思うよ？
たとえばミノ子の話なきゃミサイルばらまきゃいいじゃんで終わっちゃうし、魔法だって精霊がどーたら星の位置関係がこーたらってそれっぽい設定で現実味みたいなモン持たせてんだし

連邦艦は実体弾が主砲で、メガ粒子砲は副砲という設定がある。
（ビグザムに対してビーム砲撃ってたのは突っ込まないでｗ）
最初に主砲にメガ粒子砲を採用したのはムサイ型。

理由の考察は以下の通り
・連邦は旧来から信頼のある質量弾頭に固執していた
・ジオンは金属資源の節約のためメガ粒子砲を積極的に採用した
・ジオンはMSの収容スペース確保のため、砲弾の保管庫を小さくせざるを得なかった

宇宙人と100年くらい戦争してたんなら不思議はないが0079よりほんの少し前の
たかだか数年でジオンはともかく連邦に配備されてたとするのは無理があるな。
誰と戦うつもりだったのかって言うと宇宙人の襲来に備えてなんてこたないから
そりゃ宇宙移民と、としか言えないわけで、そうすると移民国家とかなり前から
険悪な開戦ムードに陥ってて地球もコロニーも双方が巨大宇宙戦艦建造したって
特に文句言われなかった状況って事になるよな。
案外「宇宙人と」ってとこに答えがあって単に企画最初期にジオン星人との宇宙戦争っていう
段階があっために細かい背景設定が端折られたまま番組作っちゃったっていう残滓だと思うね。
要は海外作品の成功を見て和製スターウォーズをって始めたのがこれだろう。
ヤマトをライバルどころか敵視しながら作った物だし戦艦の存在は常に脳裏にあったはず。
ガンプラだって放映終了半年後の発売だったがロボが売れるか未知数だったんで
ラインナップの序盤にムサイとか戦艦を持ってきてるというかなり弱腰な展開だったんだよな。
これもヤマトは売れたから最悪ロボがダメでも戦艦で取り戻せるかもってスケベ心があったからで。

まぁ、宇宙の広さ、戦場の広さ的に戦艦同士の距離でザクマシンガンやザクバズーカ撃ったところでそうそう当たらんわな
ミノ子ないなら迎撃も容易いし、あるなら命中精度がガタ落ちでそうそう当たるものではない
MSみたいに避けられない距離から撃つなら致命傷になるけど、そこまで近接するより長距離攻撃できるメガ粒子砲使った方がいいに決まってる

ムサイにせよマゼランにせよ、想定されていた攻撃対象はMSだけじゃないだろう
対艦戦闘ならミサイルの方が有利かもしれんけど、対物・対要塞戦闘の場合はミサイルより継続攻撃できる大口径メガ粒子砲の方が有利な場合もある
特に連邦軍の艦艇は非対称戦争や治安維持任務も想定されていただろうから、威嚇射撃がド派手なメガ粒子砲は破壊力以外の方面でも有用であった筈

メガ粒子砲の小型化技術は登場したが、弾切れがある
戦艦の設備なら、かなりの弾数を確保できる
威力、射程、命中精度、連射能力、この辺りの設定の差もあるかも

モビルスーツもミノフスキー粒子も優位性を実証したのがルウム戦役が初なんだからそれ以前に作った兵器に火砲が搭載されてても何もふしぎじゃ無いと思うけど。

そもそもグリプス以降も言うほど戦艦の火力落としてないから完全にMSキャリアにすると返って効率が悪いんじゃないか？
