        シャアやジオンを知らなくても分かる「バナージ・リンクスとオードリー・バーンの物語」がかっこいい音楽と映像でお出しされたから幅広くウケたんじゃないか

        飢えてたのは宇宙世紀じゃなくてオカルトよ
        富野ガンダムが失速した最大原因が逆シャア最後にオカルトやめたことでしょ
        好きなキャラが死ぬシーンは感動するし、そしてそのキャラが死んでもちゃんと会話できたり助けてくれたりってのはいい感じだし、そしてなにより奇蹟レベルの減少を発生させるってのはセンスオブワンダーがある。

        ただ、まあ、本家ほどは上手くやれてなかったのか、それまでオカルトは富野ガンダムの専売特許だったのに本家以外がやったことにアレルギーある人が多かったのか、歴代作品として見た場合はそこまで人気でもなかったりもするが。

        メカデザがいいよね、リゼルやアンクシャ、ジェスタも好き、前二つはカトンボみたいに景気良く堕とされまくるけど

        ただただ作画だろ
        あんなんやられたら観るわ（つってもけっこうアレなカットも少なくなかったが

        クシャトリヤ発進からスタークジェガン戦、ビット収納までで、映像音楽や細かいインパネ表現含めいてこれはと思わされた。
        まあ後はやっぱり馴染みのあるキャラクターデザインに知ってるキャラやMSが出るのは思い出補正があって良いよね。

        主人公は最初ウジウジしちゃうけど終盤に向かうにつれ信念の塊になって、次作ではさらにそれが加速し不動のものとなる姿が見れるよ！

        まあ、きれいな作画で宇宙世紀物を見られるというのが特に取っ掛かりとしてデカかったのは否めない
        そのちょっと前の劇場版Ζがまさにそこの部分で盛り上がりと落胆のギャップが大きくてファンの消化不良感がかなりあったし
        庵野もΖを見てあれで売れるならきれいな作画でエヴァやり直せばいけるんじゃね？と思って新劇場版を始めたし歪な出来だったけど劇場版Ζの後の影響は大きい

        シャアっぽいキャラは大体の作品に入れてあるんだけどな＼(仮　面)／
        知人は頑なに宇宙世紀正史派だがZZ以降は認めず、設定では後の時代に繋がっているVガンダム等は毛嫌いしていたがUCは加わることを許してた
        センチネルとか外伝小説系も同じ時空だからか許してたな

        当時売れてたコードギアス、マクロスfもシナリオなんて殆ど評価されてなくてキャラ人気だったからな
        まあ実際描写との剥離が酷かったし、ギアスは結果として大組織にしてくれたゼロよりも敵の口車に乗る恩知らずの黒の騎士団、ランカは悲劇のヒロイン描写がやたら描かれるけどシェリルの方が悲惨やんとか

        ストーリーやキャラがなんかあれでも宇宙世紀を舞台にジオンだ連邦だみたいなノリときれいな作画によるカッコ良いMSのドンパチが有れば売れるってのは0083、08小隊から連なるOVAガンダムの伝統とも言えるし

        UCを好きな人でも褒めポイントは大体MSや戦闘が格好良いとか作画が凄いとかに集まってあとはまあ澤野の音楽も挙がるかな位でストーリーは精々それっぽいことやってるのがいい程度だしな
        UCの話題になってもストーリー関連で盛り上がるって感じじゃないし特に4話のMS大運動会以降の展開を褒めてる人にはお目に掛かったことないし

        シャアキャラ自体はそんなにだと思うけど、正統的な続編感が良かったんじゃないかな
