サイコガンダムみたいなデカブツ出してきた時のカウンターだったんじゃない？
実際ティターンズはTR-6やらサイコシップとか作ったし
ネオ・ジオンもクインマンサやゲーマルクみたいなZZでもないと勝てそうもない機体用意してたし

そもそもエゥーゴとカラバがZZ終了時点で無くなってるからその先に広げられないんだよなぁ

    Z2・リゼルの変形は元のZとあんま変わらない、胸跳ね上げて頭部丸々胴体に収納するタイプ
    メタスは全然違うんだよな変形方法。リゼルと似てるのはシルエットだけ

    元々はジャブロー攻略のための大気圏外からの強襲用可変MS(ノンオプションで大気圏突入し、大気圏内での単独飛行能力を有しMSとしての性能も優れた機体)の開発。
    ただし、ジャブロー攻略を前倒しにしたため、その時点で完成が間に合ってなかったので、本来の目的は失ってしまった。
    しかし開発計画はそのまま継続し、なんなら、完成後もその技術の延長上の可変ガンダムタイプの開発も計画に含めていった。
