ガルマもギニアスもマクベもカーティスも自分の軍団丸ごと潰れて壊滅状態だし、戦後だけどピッターもHLV送る際に部隊ごとほぼ壊滅、オリジンでもガルシアが持ってる軍団ごと壊滅。
シャアが可愛く見えるくらい、わりとジオンはノリノリで全滅するから死神だの疫病神など呼ばれるにはシャアの実績じゃ足りないよ。
軍内でのシャアの指揮能力はプロホノウ艦長と同程度の扱いだと思う。603技術試験隊も戻ってこない人だらけやし、本人というより補給状況と戦況が悪いって扱い。

ガルマの北米総軍が壊滅したのは、ガルマ戦死後だいぶん経ってからの連邦軍の総反攻の時の話。ガルマが木馬との間で失ったのは、ガウを除けば連隊規模にも満たないでしょ。
マさんも本人が敗戦した上に指揮放棄して逃げたとはいえ、隷下部隊はアジアと中東方面へ敗走してる状態で別に100万のウクライナ方面軍が全滅した訳じゃない。
というか、そのへんの軍集団レベルの部隊は一戦二戦じゃ全滅したりしないよ。
シャアみたいな中級指揮官が手中にしてる部隊ならともかく、流石に喩えがおかしい。

間違いなく1st終盤のガンダム対ジオング
自分がアムロに及ばないと自覚し恐怖しつつも
あの手この手でなんとか相打ちに持ち込みガンダムを戦闘不能にして
仕事完遂した辺り、人間味も見せつつ結果も出したという点で
観る側にとっては一番輝いてたわ
