スーパーナパームでパーツ燃やすことになる前はおっちゃんを複数機活用するのってどこまで考えてたんだろう
コアファイターはリュウさんが特攻した分とかGメカ分やコアブースター分を考えると最初から常時4機以上あるはずだけど

おっちゃんは熟練の職人が手作りした超高精度パーツでできてるから。職人が違う！って投げ捨てた精度の悪い余りパーツが山ほどあるからそこから組み立てたんだろう

RX-78-1～RX-78-3はファーストロット、RX-78-4～RX-78-8はセカンドロット
RX-78-1は一番最初のプロトタイプガンダムで、通称プロトタイプガンダム
そのテスト結果を反映して改修したのがRX-78-2、通称ガンダム
2号機の補修用パーツ供給機としてWBに搭載され、オデッサ前後に回収、オーガスタ研で組まれてマグネの実験に使われたのがRX-78-3、通称G-3ガンダム

2号機をベースにランドセル、タンク、スラスターを改良し、マグネ標準装備、宇宙用にしたのがガンダム4号機と5号機
前者RX-78-4はビーム兵器の運用が、後者RX-78-5は実弾兵器の運用がメイン
2号機ベースで固定兵器運用メイン、陸戦仕様にしたのがRX-78-6、ガンダム6号機マドロック
RX-78-7、ガンダム7号機は基礎フレームの開発時点で一年戦争が終わった
戦後、アレックスやフルアーマー計画のノウハウを導入して0081年に完成
RX-78-8、ガンダム8号機は今んとこ設定が掘り下げられてなく、ほぼノータッチ

RX-78NT-1、ガンダムNT-1はセカンドロットとは別のガンダムの発展機、通称アレックス
推力上げまくってスラスターもりもり積んで極限まで反応上げたアムロ向けチューン
ちなみにセカンドロットとは別の機体だが、開発順序的にはG-3ガンダムの次
開発の参考にされたのもG-3で、4号機ではないが4番目のガンダム

これ見て思ったんだが、ファーストロッド以外のおっちゃんは実弾のG5以外、全部未完成や調整不足の問題抱えてんだよな
やっぱ短期間でいろいろやるのは無理があったか

後付けとはいえ、1980年台の序盤くらいには殆ど設定あったのよな
91年に出たSD大図鑑でも重装7号機まではフォローされてて、当時は7号機までだと思ってたな

それはそれとして本来の運用がおっちゃん3機前衛、キャノンとタンクで後衛の5機編成と考えるなら
バランスはかなりいいよな

まぁ約一年の戦争と言っても、その5年前の0074年2月には既にザクIが生まれてるからなぁ
現実世界だってライトフライヤーの初飛行から11年後には戦闘機が生まれてる
