ガンダムの設計をそのまま流用するとこうなる

コロ落ち辺りから再評価された格好いいジムはこのデザイン路線だよね
元になるガンダムが今はアニメ回帰路線だから
それに準ずると野暮ったいジムになっちゃうわけだけど

基本的にかなり不評なデザインだったけど、ぶっちゃけ最初に出たMGのジムがアニメと別人すぎたから不評だったってのが一番の要因だし、HGのGM/GMみたいに、大幅なアレンジを加えたジム系のMSとして、アニメに近いデザインのジムを先に出した後で発売してれば普通に受け入れられてたと思う。

アニメよりのデザインは普通のモナカのガンプラが存在していた。
アニメではなく、現実の兵器として存在したら？
という前提でアレンジしたのが当時のマスターグレードだったよね。
だからアニメに似てないのは当然だったはずなんだけど、
年月が経ちすぎて当時の意義が忘れさられたんだよな。

コレ、MGガンダムVer1.0の金型を半ば強引に流用した為か
ガンダムVer1.0の武装が丸々付属してくるんだよな
苦肉な策ではあったんだろうけど、そのおかげで簡易的ながらも
ユーザーによるカスタマイズがやり易くなっているのは
今でもポイントが高いと思う。
ぶっちゃけこの方向性で3.0が欲しかったりする
